How I Whitened My Sensitive Teeth At Home

Hi everyone! This blog is as titled all about my experience with the Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening System. I am going to go in depth with every detail as to why I loved this brand and how it's worked for me. I have never tried a professional teeth whitener and this was my first time. I decided to give it a go because I'm a soda drinker and coffee lover! That means I'm always drinking beverages that are known to turn your teeth yellow the most. I have been on this journey for 2 weeks and I can tell you this works! Keep reading to see my results!

1. The Process Of Making your Customized Teeth Impressions

When you first purchase your smile brilliant kit you will receive materials and directions on how to make your very own impressions. I accidentally messed up my first set so I had to make two. I put the images below. The kit comes with 3 Base Pastes, 3 Catalysts Pastes and the trays to make your impressions. They send you step by step instructions also which is super convenient. They also send you the envelope and shipping label to mail your trays back to receive your customized impressions from the lab. There is no extra hidden fees and you even get a set of whitening syringes and desensitizing gels as well included in the kit. It takes about a week to receive your customized trays back from the lab and the next step, aka the whitening process is super easy!

2. The Whitening Process

Step 1. Brush your teeth

Step 2.Take your customized trays and apply a thin layer of whitening gel from syringe

Step 3. Place Trays in your mouth for 30-45 minutes (Below I explain why I put this time limit)

Step 4. Remove trays and brush your teeth again

Step 5. Last but not least, place a think layer of desensitizing gel on the trays and let it sit for 15 minutes.

This was honestly not even as hard as I was picturing it. Once you have your trays back from the lab you then start to whiten your teeth each day for about 45 minutes. For me I personally was struggling in the beginning to keep the whitening gel on because of my teeth sensitivity. This is where the desensitizing gel came into play and it instantly made a difference. I could tell my teeth becoming not as sensitive each time I used it. The gel is applied after each whitening session for 15 minutes and focuses on reducing the teeth sensitivity which causes the pain. The option to choose if you want to whiten day or night is totally up to you. So I started the process whitening for the full 45 but then casually going down to 30 minutes each night. It is your choice if you wanna do the whole 45 or if you want to change it some. I personally recommend giving your teeth the break and reducing the time if you do have the pain at first. Fun Fact, the syringes can last up to 4 uses which is actually a lot. I have gotten amazing results in just 5 days! It really is incredible and I'm not one to believe in this kinda stuff at first. Although I was skeptical I can say It is well worth the time, effort and money.

3. The Results

I continued to whiten my teeth for a full 2 weeks. Every night I got in a routine to complete the step by step process and it just started to become easier and easier. My teeth sensitivity has gone down extremely. I would make the time to complete this process a priority and even though some nights I was tired or not feeling it, I would stick with it and it defiantly shows.
